Zion Williamson Trade News: Joe Dumars to explore that dual all-star is moving
The Pelicans fired their previous head of basketball operations on Monday and the team wants Hall of Famer Joe Dumars as his replacement.
Dumars, who currently serves as the executive vice -president of the NBA, is expected to get into the role by the end of the week and the Pelican possession will have his first task in a row.
Under the leadership of Gayle Benson, the board of directors of New Orleans wants to seriously consider Dumars to act two-time All-Star Zion Williamson.
Williamson, drawn up with the number 1 pick in the NBA Draft 2019, played in only 45% of the pelican matches since entering the competition and did not record once in the late season.
When healthy, the 24-year-old is without a doubt one of the most exciting talents in the country, but keeping him on the ground has been a struggle and the pelicans are ready to pull the plug.

In 30 games this season, Williamson had an average of 24.6 points, 7.2 rebounds and 5.3 assists at 57% shooting from the floor while New Orleans ended with one of the worst records in the competition (21-61).
Another task on Dumars’s radar as GM is to decide whether or not he should keep head coach Willie Green after the second worst season in the franchise history but it is fair to say that he had not given a fair hand.
In the five seasons of Williamson in the competition, he played 30 or less times in three and despite the advantage of having a player of his quality, it may not be worth the consistent disappointment of his availability.
He sustained a hamstring injury in the early season that forced him to be on the sidelines on the sidelines from November to January, but after returning, average career hogers in rebounds, assists, steals and blocks.
