In a plot twist reminiscent of their hit movie Everyone except you, Sydney Sweeney and Glen Powell reunited this weekend at the wedding of his sister in Texas. They were spotted together in various restaurants in the midst of reports that she is no longer engaged to her producing partner Jonathan Davino.
Glen and Sweeney were told dating rumors while they worked on the ROM-Com 2023. Sweeney was then with her fiancé. Neither the Euphoria Star Nor Davino has noticed for speculation that they have split, but she did not worn her engagement ring. She also removed a photo of her kissing Davino from her Instagram page.
So what does this mean for fans who have sent a Glen-Sydney romanticism?
Representatives for the stars did not respond to Yahoo Entertainment’s request for comments, but according to reports there is nothing about their weekend rendez -vous and the two are just “friends”. Sweeney is close to Glen’s sister, Leslie Powell, who married in Dallas. Leslie even posted a photo with the actress on her Instagram stories on Sunday.
Seveney is wearing a light blue dress in the photo, the same color as Leslie’s bridesmaids, but there is no confirmation that she played such a big role on the wedding day. TMZ reported that Sweeney attended the weekend festivities with her best friend in the midst of her rumor burning and she was planning to go to the wedding months ago because she is close to the Powell family.
Although Powell and Sweeney denied that they were dating years ago, they had no problem feeding the flames on the internet. In April 2024, Powell told the New York Times That it was Sweeney who suggested that they encourage the rumors.
“The two things you have to sell are fun and chemistry,” he said. “Sydney and I have a lot of fun together, and we have a lot of effortless chemistry. Those are people who want something on the screen of the screen, and sometimes you just have to lean a little in it – and it worked great. Sydney is very smart.”
