There was a late change in the All-Star schedule on Sunday evening, because only a few hours before the game, LeBron James revealed that he would not participate.
LeBron James withdraws late from All-Star
Fans remained disappointed with just a few hours until the All-Star games started, because one of the greatest superstars announced that he would not get on the field.
LeBron James did not play for the first time in his career in the All-Star game, after he had announced the shock decision during a press conference just before the games were tipped.
“You won’t see anything from me tonight,” said James. ‘Unfortunately I will not be in uniform tonight.
“Still to do with single and foot discomfort, so unfortunately I won’t play tonight. You know I hate that. But I am looking forward to seeing the size. “

The announcement came late on Sunday evening as a shock, because there were no signs that LeBron would miss the weekend because they had been present in San Francisco for all other events.
It is still unknown whether LeBron will miss all Lakers matches with his foot injury, but the ‘King’ is expected to be back on the field this week after rest during the All-Star break.
When the 40-year-old withdrew from Sunday’s game, there was no time that new players were called and therefore the ‘OG’ team of Shaquille O’Neal was left behind.
Fortunately for Shaq, his team was still able to thrive without James and MVP Steph Curry led his team to the very first All-Star victory under the new format.
Other All-Star Afsigen
James was not the only player from the West to pull out of the All-Star game late, because Anthony Edwards did not play despite warming up in the Chase Center.
In contrast to James, Edwards did not announce why he was absent before the game and fans had to wait for Postgame to get an explanation from the Ant-Man.
