What to expect on the markets this week

  • The planned winning report from NVIDIA will be in the midst of uncertainty about the prospects for AI expenditure on Wednesday.

  • Investors will also look forward to the results of Home Depot, Lowe’s, Salesforce and Jeep maker Stellantis.

  • Federal Reserve officials will investigate the price index of the personal consumption issues, planned for release on Friday, in the midst of concern that the progress on inflation has gone up.

  • Updates about the housing market, consumer confidence, the trade balance and the gross domestic product are also expected this week.

Inflation data and company profits emphasize the weekly economic calendar for investors. Nvidia’s (NVDA) report, planned for Wednesday, the first since China’s Deepseek is the technical shares that has sent. Investors are also looking forward to Salesforce updates (CRM), Lowe’s (LOW), Home Depot (HD) and Chrysler -parent Stellantis (Tension).

The release of Friday of the Index Personal Consumption Expenditures (PCE) gives Federal Reserve officials more information about the path of inflation in January. Market guards are also looking for expected updates for the American Gross Domestic Product (GDP), the housing market, consumer confidence and the American trade balance.

  • Atlanta Fed President Raphael Bostic is planned to give comments

  • Nvidia, Salesforce, Lowe’s, TJX Cos. (Tjx), Anheuser-Busch Inbev (KNOB), Synopsys (SNPS), Snowflake (SNOW), Stellantis, Agilent Technologies (A), EBay (Ebay) and Paramount Global (NASTY) are planned to report income

Thursday 27 February

  • First unemployed claims (week ending on February 22)

  • Sustainable goods assignments (January)

  • Gross Domestic Product – Second Estimation (Q4)

  • In anticipation of housing sales (January)

  • Cleveland Fed President Beth Hammack and Philadelphia Fed President Patrick Harker are planned to give comments

  • Royal Bank of Canada (Ry), Toronto Dominion Bank (TD), Dell Technologies (Dell), Autodesk (SECT) and Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) are planned to report income
