The Warriors were on the road for the fourth consecutive game on Sunday when they faced the Spurs. Golden State routed San Antonio 148-106.
Warriors Vooruit Jonathan Kuminga missed 33 games this season for Golden State. He missed 31 consecutive games because of an ankle injury. Against the Spurs on Sunday, Kuminga took a hard fall and landed awkwardly on his ankle. The 22-year-old did not return to the game. After their victory, Steve Kerr told reporters that he hopes that Kuminga’s injury is not “too serious”.
Jonathan Kuminga was able to miss the time after he had damaged his ankle again on Sunday
Jonathan Kuminga: Straight ankle pain, according to Warriors. Will not return. That is the same single who held him 31 games.

With the seventh overall choice in the NBA design of 2021, the Warriors selected Jonathan Kuminga. In four seasons, Kuminga played in 252 games for the Warriors and has 84 starts. In 2023-24, Kuminga played a career-high 74 games and made 46 starts. Unfortunately, in 2024-25, Kuminga suffered an ankle injury that forced him to miss 31 straight matches.
His first game back from injury was March 13 versus the Kings. Kuminga played for the Warriors in nine consecutive games. That little streak could end after Sunday’s game. The Warriors won, but Kuminga injured the same ankle who forced him to miss 31 consecutive games. Not ideal for Golden State who has eight games left in the regular season.
Jonathan Kuminga is said to have to do with the right ankle pain. After their victory versus the Spurs, the Warriors are 43-31 this season. That is sixth in the Western Conference. Golden State ideally makes the late season without having to compete in the play-in tournament. Only half a game separates and the Timberwolves. Golden State hopes that Jonathan Kuminga’s ankle injury is nothing serious and that he will be ready for the play -offs in April.
