Tottenham injury News: Postecoglou on Richarlison returns for Chelsea Game

Tottenham -Baas Ange Postecoglou says that Richarlison will not be suitable to return from an injury to Chelsea on Thursday.

The Brazilian, however, is the chance to appear against Southampton during the weekend after his last injury capital saw him missing in the past two months with a veal edition.

Richarlison has not been seen since a muscle injury sustained in the 4-0 Carabao Cup semi-final second leg loss in Liverpool on 6 February.

Asked for an injury update at his press conference for the competition, Postcoglou said: “Nothing new outside that [Richarlison, Kulusevski and Danso]. All others are fine and training. Radios [Dragusin] in the long term.

‘Richy’s training, probably not tomorrow [for Chelsea game] But a chance for the weekend if he continues to train with the first team as he has been. He gets better.

“Deki (Kulusevski) and Kevin are progressing well and probably a week or two with them, they have not yet become a member of team training, but are progressing well.”

Ange ‘delighted’ with Romero International Action

Postecoglou also said that he was ‘pleased’ that defender Cristian Romero could be seen twice before Argentina in international duty, despite only recently returning to action for Spurs.

“I was very happy, size. If he can pass two games with his national team, then it’s great for us.

“He didn’t play much football and footballers have to play like that instead of having for two weeks.

“He needed games, you could see that in the performances earlier, especially in the Fulham game against the 70th minute that he was almost cooked in terms of his physical fitness, so it is positive to endure two heavy games at international level.”

Positive international break

Many Spurs players were in action during the international break and Postecoglou was happy that so many of his players got important minutes before the season of the season.

He added: “It was a good international break for us. First of all, nobody picked up anything, but some boys also had a playing time that we thought would be important, boys like [Cristian] Romero, Destiny [Udogie]Matty Tel (photo), Wilson [Odobert] And all these guys who recently missed a lot of football all got a good playing time.
