(Reuters) – Spotify is considering counting up to $ 5.99 per month on top of existing subscriptions for a new music streaming service with higher quality audio, remixes and access to concert tickets, Bloomberg News reported Friday.
This year the company can roll out the “Music Pro” layer, according to the report, with reference to sources that did not mention it.
Spotify still works through the details, and the prices for the new service would vary per geography, with the costs lower in less developed markets, Bloomberg said.
A Spotify spokesperson said per e -mail that the company cannot confirm speculation around the potential details or function set.
The new service, which would use artificial intelligence for some functions, would enable subscribers to merge numbers from different artists, according to the report, adding that the company had preliminary conversations with large promoters and card sellers.
In the United States, the largest market in Spotify with income, it charges $ 11.99 per month for its individual layer, which is as high as $ 19.99 for the family plan that can accommodate six members.
Spotify has recently signed multi -year deals with Warner Music Group and Universal Music Group for recording and publishing music.
CEO Daniel Ek said that the company would have personalized offers, including a premium layer called “Superfans of Music”. The Swedish streaming gigantic prediction 678 million monthly active users for the first quarter, in line with estimates of 679.4 million.
