Arne Slot says that his Liverpool side “all the ingredients” has to be successful this season, despite missing the chance to clear 10 points at the top of the Premier League table after he was held 2-2 by Aston Villa.
In a fascinating meeting in Villa Park, Mohamed Salah Liverpool gave an early lead before goals from Youri Tielemans and Ollie Watkins before the break turned up the draw.
Trent Alexander-Arnold put things up shortly after the hour when the Arne Slot team had to settle for a point.

The result releases the Reds eight points from the second placed Arsenal, which now has a game in hand.
But the boss of Liverpool believes that his team can still achieve this time success.
“It does matter where we are in the competition table. There is always busy when you play for Liverpool, “Slot told TNT Sports after the game.
“We want to achieve something together this season and we have all the ingredients for it.
“There are still 12 games to go and Champions League matches, but we are happy where we are.”
Slot, however, admitted that he was left frustrated with more than once, where, he thinks, the result does not reflect the performance.
The Dutchman also seemed to choose Spits Darwin Nunez, who missed a glorious opportunity to make Liverpool forward after a second half replacement on Unai Emery.

“There has been a little too much where we played games where we deserved more than we have,” said Slot.
“I watch the Newcastle game [in December] Where we admitted at the last minute, and a few other games, today, where in my opinion, if there was one team it deserved to win, it was us.
“I think we have had some very good moments and even scored the first goal of a good urgent moment. But we took it the way the game went. She [Villa] Could come back in the last minute, but if you look at the opportunities we had in the second half to go in the front, you can understand that there is one person in the dressing room who feels pretty.
“And you know who I think.”
Next to Liverpool is a trip to ruling Premier League champions, Manchester City, on Sunday. Villa, meanwhile, host Chelsea on Saturday.
