Ruben Amorim says that everyone at Manchester United is currently under performance – including themselves – and not only that emphasized by Sir Jim Ratcliffe.
Owner of minorities Ratcliffe took the unusual step to discuss individuals in a series of interviews this week, stating that some united players “do not have good enough” and “have too much” and referred to Casemiro, Antony, Jadon Sancho, Rasmus Højlund and André Onana.
It lets Amorim have to deal with another undesirable problem, because he tries to get the best out of a team that currently wits away in 14th place in the Premier League.
But the Portuguese spoke diplomatic when asked about Ratcliffe’s comments prior to the Europa League collision of tomorrow evening with Real Sociedad in Old Trafford.
He said: “Everyone performs behind them, myself and the players. We can always change that, I include myself in that part of underperforming.
“You are talking about players such as Casemiro who have won everything. We know that these players can play so much better, that is the focus. He was honest about that. The focus is to change thoughts.
“Many people will say that you are not good enough for the club, but my feeling is that you can change that with results.
“In training I feel that they really want this bad.”

Amorim happy with Ratcliffe Backing
A person who was supported by Ratcliffe was Amorim himself and he is grateful for the support and added: “It’s really good since day one. We are honest with each other. We have simple, clear and honest conversations.
“It’s really good for a coach to make me public. Since the first day I have felt the support of everyone. ‘
United won a decent 1-1 draw in San Sebastián last week and go to the second stage of their round of 16 draw against Sociedad as favorites to continue.
Winning the competition would walk into the Champions League and its importance is not lost at Amorim.
“We have a clear plan to tackle next season,” he said. “We can still reach the Champions League, so you never know. It can change the preparation for next season.
“We have a plan and know what to do, in terms of what kind of players they should bring in.
‘This competition [Europa League] could change things [selling players] So we are focused on this game. “

Yoro Sloot excluded
United will again have to be weakened by injury, although the return from Mason Mount to team training was a boost today.
The Sociedad match comes too early for the midfielder of England, while Amorim also has to cope without Leny Yoro, who was injured against Arsenal during the weekend.
He said, “It’s too early for Mason Mount, Leny Yoro is out, Harry Maguire cannot play it, but I hope to have him for Sunday. Manuel Ugarte is in the team.”
