Graaam Potter insisted that West Ham “should be better” after a bad 1-0 defeat against fellow throws wolves.
The goal of Jorden Strand Larsen saw the Hammers their sixth defeat of Potter’s 11 games suffered them 16th in the Premier League.
After they apparently turned a corner around Arsenal and Leicester, the irons lost two and one of their last three and their performance in Molineux was very little inspiring, with Tomas Soucek struck their best opening towards the end of the game.
Potter said: “We had a really good chance, a big chance and we didn’t take it and then they came into play.
“We wanted to be more compact and as a result, the first half was not a good one for us. We had to adjust things during the rest and we did. We were better in the second half, also some other opportunities, but in the end not enough to win the game.
“It was a game of two halves. If you look at the big chances of the game, probably more for us ironically. From a performance perspective we were certainly not happy with where we were the first half.
“The second half was a lot better. The chance of Tomas at the end was a big chance. We have to be better if we want to do better.”

Potter greets full crug -impact
West Ham was much improved after the introduction of Niclas Fullkrug for the disappointing Evan Ferguson, where the German striker crashed a header of the Lat and offered more of a platform to work from the front.
At the performance of Fullkrug, in which his outing was since the beginning of January, Potter said: “Really good. Can see what he brings the team. We can go into him for a long time, he picks up second balls, a threat in the box.
“For the first time he has played for us for a long time, so that’s nice.”
We have to get further on the table
West Ham stays at 34 points, level with Everton and Tottenham, but although relegation is not a threat, Potter still wants to demand so high standards between now and the end of the season.
He added: “The motivation is to get further on the table. To win more points, every game is important to us.
“We want to get as many points as possible as we can. To do that, you have to play well, we’re not in the first half tonight. We finally suffered for that.
“Some positives, but in general we have to be better.”
