NBA 3-point competition 2025 Opportunities, predictions and the best bets break down the chance of Damien Lillard on a 3-turf.
For Damian Lillard this means more.
On Saturday evening in Chase Center, the resident of Oakland will try to secure his third consecutive NBA 3-point match title times, back in the bay. If he does, he will join Larry Bird and Craig Hodges as the only players ever three pat in the legendary history of the event.
Lillard’s journey to the throne started in 2023 with Portland before he defended his title as a member of the Milwaukee Bucks last year. Now, an important piece in Milwaukee’s Championship Pursuit, he comes all-star weekend within 38.2% from Deep, ready to prove again why he is one of the most feared markers of the game.
Standing in the way? Seven of the best shooters in the NBA, all looking to beat the king out of his perch. The stage is set, the bet is clear – and Lillard is ready to let it fly.
The field is set for the Starry 3-Point competition on NBA All-Star 2025:

NBA 3-point competition 2025 predictions and best bets
Buddy kept | G | Golden State Warriors | +450
Few in the NBA history have done better of deep.
Buddy, now in his first season with the Golden State Warriors, is one of the top 20 of all time in Made Three-Pointers. The 32-year-old has built his career on one thing flies. And when he is on fire, there are few sights that are more dangerous.
Held, a former 3-point competition champion, won the event five years ago. Now, 37% shoot from outside the arch, he returns to the competition that wants to recover his crown.
The chances may not give him preference, because there is not much value on +450, but pure shooters always have the chance of a puncher. On Saturday evening, under the fierce lights of All-Star Weekend, the opportunity to remind the world how quickly a game or a competition changes with the film of his wrist.
Cameron Johnson | F | Brooklyn Nets | +650
Lost in Brooklyn’s rebuild, Cameron Johnson quietly puts the best season of his career together. But on Saturday evening, under the All-Star Spotlight, the 6’9 “attacker has the chance to remind everyone how deadly he can be.
On average 19.2 points per match while 41.7% of Deep shoots, Johnson introduces the 3-point match as the highest player in the field and one of the purest snipers. No competitor has a better three -point percentage, in which he converts himself in an elite 46.9% clip. And above the break? It is just as deadly and beats almost 40%.
His ability to warm up quickly, especially from the dribble, makes him a dark horse that is worth seeing. The chances can be long, but with a blow as smooth as his, Johnson is more than able to surprise the field.

Darius Garland | G | Cleveland | +500
This season Cleveland has been one of the biggest success stories in the NBA and went up in the All-Star Break with the best record in the east. In the heart of all this? Darius Garland quietly emerged as one of the most efficient snipers in the competition. Just like it was not much value at +500, but I love this game.
Garland participates in the 3-point competition with the best percentage in the field and drills 43.1% of his attempts from Diep. His 156-year-old Trees Trail Only Tyler Herro, and his 41.2% clip on pull-up triples shows skills that are tailor-made for this competition.
Even more impressive? Although he is an excellent corner shooter, Garland is even better above the break and converts with a rate of 44% – where most of his shots come from Saturday evening.
Damian Lillard is perhaps the headliner, but Garland has the figures, the rhythm and the value to steal the show.
Best bets:
- Buddy kept +450
- Cam Johnson +650
- Darius Garland +500
