While NBA reviews are starting to sink, the competition tries to adjust quickly. All-Star ratings continue to fall and the NBA has to make a serious change.
The competition tried to implement a bracket style tournament in 2025, but it didn’t change anything. Milwaukee’s Giannis Antetokounmpo shared his thoughts about what the NBA can do to increase the reviews. The double League MVP said the USA vsa team. Team World should be.

The NBA has grown worldwide in the last 25 years. That has opened the door for players throughout the country to dream to reach the NBA. Part of the top talent in the NBA is European. This includes Giannis Antetokounpo, Nikola Jokic, Joel Embiid, Shai Gilgous-Alexander, Luka Doncic and Victor Wembanyama. Three of the six players mentioned above have won at least one League MVP.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is the gambling favorite to win with a considerable margin in 2024-25. The last six MVP prices went to European stars. In SGA victories in 2024-25, the seven straight would have been won by a European player. International talent has overtaken the best players in the US. We have seen this in the last two Olympic Games. Team USA no longer blows teams out as they had done in the past.
Imagine that all international all-stars had to play in the same team. That would be a deadly starting line -up for Team World. It would contain players like Luka Doncic, Shai Gilegous-Alexander, Giannis Antetokounmpo and Nikola Jokic. The shortest player in their starting line-up would be SGA on six foot-six. Faced with all Europeans in one combined team, the US could challenge. Some of the American top players such as LeBron James, Steph Curry and Kevin Durant are at the tail end of their career.
