Five months ago, Good morning America Co-host Michael Strahan became a grandfather … and although he is still in a little ‘disbelief’, the former NFL player cannot stop streams over his grandson.
In a recent interview with Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show, Fallon told Strahan that he could not believe that the 53-year-old was a grandfather to which Strahan answered: “I can’t do it either.”
He continued: “Five months old baby boy named Onyx, and my daughter is doing great, the baby is doing great. I am very happy. “
The Morning Show -guest lord then joked that his love for his grandson has now surpassed the love he has for his own children.
“You look at your small cabbage … They sent me a photo earlier today, and I look at him and I am:” I love you so much. ” And then I look at photos of my children and I say: “I love you”, with the contrast that the audience leaves in hysteria “there is a little extra!”
Strahan then confirmed a sentiment that many grandparents share: they like to spend time with their grandchildren – without the full responsibility of parenthood.
“But the grandchle, I see him, he eats, and I hold him, and he looks like he’s ready to farm and I have something like that,” uh, your clothes are crushing, here takes him back. ” He went on, “but it is a different relationship, and I can’t wait for it, hanging around and being a younger grandfather, I hope.
Fallon then noted that it should be to have Michael Strahan as a grandfather to which Strahan jokes answered: “Now it is cool, we will see when he gets older.”
In addition to Onyx’s mother, Tanita, 33, Strahan also shares son Michael Strahan Jr., 31 with ex-wife Wanda Hutchins. He also shares 19-year-old twins Isabella Strahan and Sophia Strahan with his ex-wife Jean Muggli.
