Three seasons Mac McClung played collegial basketball. Two on Georgetown and one at Texas Tech. After his time at the university, McClung remained unguised. Eventually the 26-year-old signed with two teams in 2021-22. McClung played one game for the Chicago Bulls and one for the Los Angeles Lakers. In February 2023, McClung signed a two -way contract with the Philadelphia 76ers. He played two games for them that season and on average (12.5) points per game.
The most important thing is that in 2022-23 Mac McClung became a household name. He won the NBA Slam Dunk competition of 2023 and he made his specialty high-flying Dunks. On Saturday evening, one of his dunk attempts included jumping over a Kia. Although he started hot, McClung was in a closely disputed battle with Rookie Stephon Castle. After winning the Dunk competition, Mac McClung got a Kia car. He announced that the car would be served on a foundation in need in his hometown Gate City, Virginia. Mac McClung has won three straight Dunk matches and he still tries to play full-time in the NBA. For three seasons, McClung played in five regular season matches.
