What to know: Twin Brothers are stalked for decades by a murderous wind-up toy monkey that kills their family members. There are plenty of horrible and creative deaths. [Deadline]

Why I recommend it: The film is based on a short story by Stephen King, but the writer-director, Osgood Perkins, told me that he made it personal by sprinkling in references to his own personal trauma. He is proud to have a sense of humor about it. [Entertainment Weekly]

What to know: This To take Spin-off holds the same legal drama, but add entertainment legislation and a large number of new characters. Why I will look: TLC likes to highlight large, unconventional families and the party of the Baldwins of Nine fits the bill. However, they are a bit more controversial than the typical topics of the network, so I would like to know more. [E! News]
