Ruben Amorim admitted that he has difficulty determining why he had no consistent impact during his term of office of Manchester United after his side again seemed convincing when they came from behind to save a point against Everton.
United came from two goals to save a draw in Goodison Park through the second half of goals from Bruno Fernandes and Manuel Ugarte after Beto and Abdoulaye Doucoure had given the Toffees a deserved lead.
A dramatic end of the game saw a revival of Everton a penalty in the stopping time by VAR, much to the disappointment of boss David Moyes.
The result is unlikely that the both manager will please. For Moyes it will feel as if two points fell, while for Amorim, despite a much improved performance after the break, the score will do little to illuminate the increasing pressure on the Portuguese coach.

United has only won four of the 15 league games since Amorim took the lead in November, and he admitted that he found it difficult to determine the reason for the stuttering form of his team.
“I don’t know. If I knew I would change it,” Amorim said.
“We have to keep thinking about the next game and everything we do during the week that we have to use it in the game. And if we do that, we are close to winning games as we did in the second half today. If we don’t, we’re not going to win. ‘
The red Devils boss also said that his team “did not exist” in the first half against Everton, but quickly emphasized their improved show after the break.
Amorim added: “We didn’t exist in the first half. We know this team [Everton] Are really good on second balls and we have two goals such as these, on second balls. We were soft in the first half, but we managed to recover.
“I don’t just want to say the negative parts. The second half was so much better. In the end we were close to winning the competition.
“At the moment we have to concentrate every day. We have to survive this season, that is clear and then think ahead. “
Next to United is the visit of the wrestling city of Ipswich on Wednesday. The tractor boys are currently under the steward of Kieran McKenna, formerly at the Old Trafford coaching staff.
