Harry Kane Waste about the first return of Premier League and insists that he is happy at Bayern Munich

Harry Kane Bayern Munich Champions League

Harry Kane is stunned by reports that he wants to return to the Premier League and says that he “does not think about another competition or another team”, apart from Bayern Munich.

Kane came to Bayern in the summer of 2023 and maintained the productive form he showed in Tottenham, with 77 goals in 83 games for the Bundesliga Club.

There were reports about the international break that Kane claims that the first major trophy of his career – Bayern is six points free from defending defender Bayer Leverkusen at the top of the German top flight – he would like to sign for a Premier League club at the end of the season.

But the captain of England said that the stories were wide of the goal.

He said ESPN: “I don’t know for sure. I said my whole career, I am not someone who likes to think too far ahead. I am very happy here. I think we have a fantastic team, fantastic coaching staff and I just have the feeling that I am in the best, I want to play at the highest level, and this is as high as it is.

“So I know that a lot can change in football in a short time and things can happen, but in the end my focus is here. I don’t think about another competition or another team. And with football I like to go with the power and at the moment the electricity here in Bayern München.”

Kane hopes to stop the sound about a lack of trophies

Kane has been one of the best number nine in world football for several years, but his personal efforts have not been enough to drag Spurs, England or Bayern over the line and win a trophy.

This year it can be different with Bayern who turns the Bundesliga title, while they are confronted with Inter Milan in the quarterfinals of the Champions League.

He added: “I have done many things that I have wanted to do so far in my career. Of course I know that the team trophy is the one to which everyone will refer back to, but in the end, you know, you have to do your best in every situation. And I feel like I have done that.

“From the moment I left, it was always about how consistent I could be. I looked at the greats of the game and what they made great, and it didn’t just do it in spells, it did the year after year. And that was a big drive of mine to be able to change my spirits in the world how I try to achieve it.

“This year we have another chance to win some trophies and that would be incredible, and maybe that sound would put that sound around me a bit. But I think that in football in general people will always have people who doubt you, people who criticize you. The most important thing is that you know what you are trying to achieve.

Kane focuses on a strong end of the season

Kane, 31, admits that he is enthusiastic about what could bring in the coming weeks.

“This is my second year in Bayern and we have the chance to reach our second semifinal in the Champions League, another title race,” he said. “So yes, all those factors that come in. Bayern are seen as one of the largest clubs in the world and it is exciting to play for them.”
