The Memphis Grizzlies sign Lamar Stevens for a 10-day contract, Mark Bartelstein from Priority Sports told ESPN’s Shams Charania. Stevens is in his fifth NBA season and played for the Motor City Cruise of the G League after attending the Detroit Pistons training camp.

Stevens, 27, went from Pennsylvania State University in 2020, signed and signed a two -way contract with the Cleveland Cavaliers. He has an average of 5.7 points, 2.9 rebounds and 15.7 minutes in 203 career games in the regular season (41 starts) (41 starts). The resident of Philadelphia also shot 46.3% from the field and 28.6% of deep.
After three seasons with the cavs, he played 19 games (one start) last season with the Boston Celtics after signing a contract by Exhibit 10. However, the Celtics exchanged Stevens and a few second round trekking spicks to Memphis for Xavier Tillman.

With the Grizzlies, Stevens were an average of 11.5 points and 5.1 rebounds in 19 games (two starts). The 6-foot-7 wing recorded a season-high 19 points last March in Losing Portland and in Denver.
Stevens then signed a deal with the pistons last September, but was abandoned a month later. He landed shortly after his release with Detroit’s G League team.
Memphis waives Johnny Davis in a corresponding movement
Charania also reported that Memphis is abandoning third -year guard Johnny Davis to create scheduling space, says sources. Davis, the number 10 Pick in the NBA design of 2022 from the University of Wisconsin – Madison, is expected to get some interest as a free agent, added ESPN’s NBA Insider.
On average, Davis only had 3.5 points and 11.4 minutes per match in three seasons with the Washington Wizards and played 112 games (11 Starts).
He was treated at the Grizzlies in a deal with three teams also sent with the Sacramento Kings-Die Marcus Smart to Washington.
The Grizzlies are currently 36-18 and are in second place in the classification of the Western Conference. Memphis has not won a Playoff series since he defeated the Minnesota Timberwolves in the first round of the late season 2022.
