Rapper and YouTuber DDG have released a new song entitled ‘Don’t Take My Son’, in which he tackles constant co-parent problems with his ex-girlfriend, actress and singer Halle Bailey.
In the choir DDG expresses his emotions with the lines: “Don’t take my son with him because he is everything I have/I just have fun, I don’t like these Thots.”
Later in the song he adds: “Tryna lets me pay to see my son, that will make me hot”, which hints on the possibility of child benefit ordered by the court.
The number follows a message from DDG on X (formerly Twitter) where his frustrations shared and say:
“Fighting to see my son for months now … Shout at all the fathers who do their best to be there. This SH*t sucks. “
In a YouTube video entitled ‘She doesn’t show me, “DDG revealed more details and said that the conflict with Halle has been going on since they split in October 2024.

He explained that he tried to keep things private, but it became so difficult that he felt the need to pronounce himself. He described the feeling that he is ‘bullied’ only because he wanted to be a good father.
“I don’t really like to talk about real life, but I have the feeling that I have to,” said DDG. “It comes to a point where I feel that I am honestly bullied when it comes to me and just want to be a father.”
He continued: “I have had to do forever where I feel that I am a secondary parent,” and added: “Every time I am [with him]He got a smile on his face, he is happy to see me, but he can’t see me for more than 48 hours. DDG said he doesn’t want to bring things to court because he knows it would be messy. Yet he believes that if they did, a judge would give him more time with his son.
