Federico Chiesa is happy in Liverpool despite the limited playing time, according to his father.
While the international break unfolds, the Italian attacker used the possibility to continue his training regime.
Chiesa recently played a crucial role for Liverpool, which was given the in the Carabao Cup final at Wembley.
His contributions, however, have been sporadic in what has been a challenging season for him personally.
Despite the fact that speculation connects the 27-year-old with a potential summer movement from Anfield, his father, former Italy striker Enrico Chiesa, has reassured fans that Federico is satisfied with his current situation.
In conversation with Tuttosport he said: “Federico is very happy in Liverpool, he is in a top club that leads the Premier League and now we hope he can win the title!
“He is there to have his say, he has a great opportunity.”

So far, Chiesa has mainly been in a replacement role, which still has to start a Premier League match. From his 11 performances for Liverpool there were only two as part of the starting line -up.
Given his reputation as one of Europe’s most promising attacking talents – especially after his success with Italy in 2020 euros – his reduced involvement could be seen as a source of frustration.
His father, however, has consistently strengthened a resilient mentality and has encouraged him to remain prepared for opportunities. Think about the journey of Federico, Enrico Chiesa added: “In the summer I told him what I said since he was a child because the truth is, until the age of 15, he didn’t really play that often.
“When he would ask what he should do, I said he should keep training, not give up, make sure you are ready when the moment comes.”
No regret of Juventus Exit
In the midst of constant rumors about a potential summer departure, Enrico Chiesa rejected any idea of regret with regard to the relocation of Federico from Juventus to Liverpool.
“There are just alibis for losers. No, there are no regrets,” he said.
While many of his teammates left in Liverpool for international duty, Chiesa was the only senior outfield player who stayed with the club because he was not called.
He benefited from the break, returned to Italy, but remained dedicated to his training. During the weekend he posted an Instagram photo of himself that trained in his Liverpool equipment against the background of the Dolomites.
With nine Premier League matches left, there is still time for Chiesa to set up his claim for a more important role at Anfield.
Whether he will remain after the summer remains uncertain, but for now his focus continues to contribute when he is called.
