The countdown is on the way to the most long -awaited encounter of the year. At exactly 1.20 pm on Tuesday the starter will increase the tape, the famous Roar will be going on over the Gloucestershire countryside and the Cheltenham Festival 2025.
Four days of Elite Horse Races, reinforced by a carnival atmosphere while gamblers from the United Kingdom and Ireland collect for the ‘Greatest Show on Turf’.
The stars are of course the horses. Constitution Hill, Jonbon and Teahupoo are all planned to run before the climax arrives on Friday with Galopin des Champs who go for his third consecutive Gold Cup.
The stories about the trainers come around the races: Can Willie Mullins continue his dominance; How is Nicky Henderson after his nightmare from 2024; Will Gordon Elliott exceed them both?
Add the many fine tricks of this specific sport, going, the weather, the shape and there will undoubtedly be countless storylines that arise in the course of an absorbent week.
Racing just doesn’t get better … 🤯

Day one led by Constitution Hill
Constitution Hill is the first of the Big-Hitters to perform, in the Hurdle champion, the function race on Tuesday. Henderson’s Star Turn missed last year due to poor health, but was expected to return with a bang. However, that was until Elliott chose to enter Brighterdaysahead after a hugely impressive display in Leopardstown in December. It should be a battle.
Day two, or style on Wednesday as it renamed, sees Jonbon in action in the Queen Mother Champion Steeple Chase. Henderson may have more faith in this, although the Gaelian warrior, Energumene or Marine Nationale does not exclude.
Can anyone stop Jonbon? 👀

Thursday is the day of St Patrick, where the emphasis is just as good on the ‘Craic’ as racing. That does not mean that there will not be much excitement on the track with two gaming races, including the stay at which Elliott’s Teahupoo should have enough to repeat the triumph of last year.
Gold Cup Friday
And then it is the big one, because Galopin des Champs tries to write history by becoming a member of Cottage Rake, Arkle and Best Mate and Back-to-Back-to-Back.
The Star of the Mullins Stal achieved a third consecutive Irish Gold Cup last month and will be heavily supported to repeat the performance in Cheltenham.
“It’s huge,” said Mullins.
“It is unbelievable that we have a horse for a third golden cup, [he] Can be in Arkle, the best partner category.
“To be associated with such a horse like this, it is a huge honor to be involved. We are all delighted and we hope that the dream stays alive. “
Nothing feels like Cheltenham … 🤩

It would be a suitable end of what will certainly be another exciting festival if Galopin des Champs can do it.
But if he doesn’t do that, it just creates a new head, another horse pushes into star.
And whatever comes, the fans will enjoy themselves: the Guinness will be drunk; The stories will be told; The smile will be long and loud.
