Match preview for Arsenal V PSV
PSV travels to Arsenal on Wednesday looking for more than a miracle in the Champions League.
The Gunners destroyed their Dutch Last-16 opponents 7-1 in the first stage away from home, just a few days before they went to the Premier League with Manchester United.
The men of Mikel Arteta were ruthless with attack, even if they had a few happy escapes at the back.
PSV hit the woodwork in the competition and Debattes Rommel had to see his third red card of the season in Eindhoven.
Arsenal, however, is the first team in the history of Champions League that scores seven goals from home in the Knock Rounds of the competition.
It means that the atmosphere in the Emirates Stadium will be completely relaxed for the second stage, with Arteta that can certainly use a number of squadron players and save legs for the quarterfinals.
In the next round they will be confronted with Atletico Madrid or Real Madrid, a discouraging task.
But there is a record that can be broken on Wednesday evening. Arsenal has to score three goals to become only the second English team that scores 10 goals on a two-legged Champions League-equal game.
PSV fans will still come to London in large numbers, proof of their support and loyalty to the club.
But their waiting for a first quarter -final appearance since 2007 will continue.
