Cavaliers Depth card: Javonte Green plans to sign at Cleveland as soon as he knew exemptions

With a record of 44-10, the Cavaliers are the #1 seed in the east that comes from the All-Star break. Cleveland is 8-2 in their last 10 games and has won four consecutive.

On Thursday the CAVs will be on their way to face the Brooklyn Nets. Shama Charania of ESPN reported that Cleveland is planning to add a player to the Buyout market. As soon as Javonte Green releases exemptions, he will sign with the CAVs.

How can Javonte Green help improve the Cavaliers?

Javonte Green did not go from Radford Univeristy in Radford, Virginia. In 2019 he signed as an undfrated free agent at the Boston Celtics. During the 2019-2020 season, Green played in 48 of their 82 games and made two starts. The next season, Boston Green exchanged to the Chicago Bulls. Green was four seasons at De Bulls, played in 122 games and made 51 starts. Due to an injury, Green only played nine matches for Chicago in 2023-24.

After four seasons with the Bulls, Javonte Green was a free agent for 2024-25. He drew a minimum deal of one year of one year, $ 2.4 million deal with the Pelcians. This season, Green played in 50 of their 82 games and has 18 starts. ESPN’s Shams Charania reported that Green has agreed to a contract purchase. When he does distance, Green plans to sign at the Cleveland Cavaliers.

In 2024-25, Green will be on average (5.8) points, (3.6) rebounds and (1.1) steals per game. This season he shoots a solid (.352) percent from outside.
