Towards the end of the regular 2024-25 season we could see traces of the new bulls, or at least the one who wants Arturas Karisovas for the franchise. After their recent play-in elimination, the executive power asked everyone in the neighborhood to trust the process because the team is growing from day to day.

After Wednesday’s defeat, he had a request for their followers in Chicago. “I ask for the patience of fans,” he told Miami after their loss of season. “Because we are in the first year of that transition. I thought the way we ended the year showed some promise. It is difficult to win games in this competition.”

In the past five campaigns, the Illinois Club has only performed one late season with Karnisovas as vice president of basketball activities. This time they went 39-43 for a second consecutive year and finished ninth in the Eastern Conference, but failed to overcome the heat.

Despite their bad play-in match, the bulls came from a 15-5 run, which according to Arturas was the true face of his team. “It is difficult to win games in this competition and to end up with 15-5. Yes, it is not a victory round, but I think there are some positives,” said Karnisovas in his media conference at the end of the season.

The director then added what the next one is for the club: “And I think we should continue to build on this group by adding another player in the lottery, by going to free desk and adding another piece.”

Chciago had already made a number of major changes in the past year and exchanged Alex Caruso to Oklahoma and Demar Derozan in Sacramento in the summer, plus Zach Lavine only a few days before the Deadline of February. Rookie Matas Buzelis also turned out to be another positive for the franchise.

“I think there is a plan,” continued Karnisovas. “I think we will always see how we can improve this schedule by adding a player or a high caliber player. At the same time, I would not set any restrictions on this roster or the way Coby played, or the way Josh played.”
