Real Madrid -Baas Carlo Ancelotti believes that Kylian Mbappe can match Cristiano Ronaldo’s legacy at the club.
Mbappe’s few goals during the 3-2 victory of Real Madrid on Leganes On Saturday pushed his seasonal total to 33 in all competitions, with the legendary Portuguese icon.
This figure reflects the debut season of Ronaldo of 2009-10. Then Ronaldo rose to become Real Madrid’s top scorer of all time and collected a total of 16 trophies, including four Champions League titles and two LABERA championships.
“It’s hard to compare different players,” said Ancelotti on Monday. “I can hope that Mbappe can achieve what Cristiano Ronaldo has achieved at Real Madrid. I think he has the opportunity to do it. If he does, he will be a legend in Real Madrid like Cristiano Ronaldo.”
The current season of Mbappe includes 22 goals in 27 LaLiga performances, in addition to seven in the Champions League, and some goals in the Copa del Rey, Spanish Supercopa, Super Cup and Intercontinental Cup.
Ronaldo’s first Lalala season saw him score 26 goals, which he then raised to 40 in his second season, 2010-11, and eventually reached a peak of 48 in the 2014-15 campaign.

Real Madrid currently occupies second place in Laliga and is preparing to host Real Sociedad for the second stage of their Copa del Rey Semi-final on Tuesday.
Los Blancos also follows Barca with three points in the competition and sets up what a blockbuster should be in the campaign last few weeks.
“Barcelona plays very nice football, with intensity and Madrid playing another football, with a lot of quality,” added Ancelotti. “I like both, and that’s ok. It’s hard to compare because there are different aspects: who presses the most? Who defends the best?
“It is also about the characteristics of the players you have. Comparisons are almost impossible, I love the way Real Madrid plays. We can improve things, some seasons are better than others. The players change, and you can’t keep a style and identity for many years. If you try to retain the same style, you always fail in the end.”
