The Augusta National Women’s Amateur is underway.
Stanford Junior Megha Ganne had a great start and shot a course record 9-under 63 on Wednesday in the first round. She leads Lottie Woad, the title defender, through two shots after the first 18 holes. Kiara Romero, Farah O’Keefe and Amanda Sambach are in third place at 5 and four behind Ganne.
On Thursday, players compete in another 18-hole round before a cut is made to the top 30 and tires. Everyone will play Augusta National Golf Club in a practice round on Friday, but only those who make the cut will get the weekend rit by Magnolia Lane.
